Bei den gezeigten Strängen/Knäueln handelt es sich um Beispielabbildungen. Die tatsächlichen Farben können variieren und auch innerhalb derselben Partie Unterschiede aufweisen. Um sichtbare Farbwechsel zu vermeiden, empfehlen wir, beim Knäuelwechsel mehrere Reihen bzw. Runden im Wechsel mit dem alten und dem neuen Knäuel zu arbeiten.

ALEGRIA von Manos del Uruguay ist eigentlich ein handgefärbtes Garn, welches für Socken konzipiert wurde, doch die Qualität ist so hochwertig, dass sich alle anderen Projekte umsetzen lassen.

Ich habe das Garn bereits für Pullover, Strickjacken, Schals, aber auch für Baby- und Kinderkleidung verstrickt und es lässt sich super tragen und ist auch nach der Wäsche (Wollwaschprogramm) unverändert schön.

Dieses traumhaft weiche Garn mit seiner wunderbaren Zwirnung gibt ein herrlich klares Maschenbild. Die fertigen Strickstücke haben eine hervorragende Spannkraft und durch das leichte Gewicht bleiben sie absolut formbeständig.

Das Projekt Manos del Uruguay: Das Projekt unterstützt Frauen, die auf dem Lande leben, damit diese vor Ort eine Möglichkeit haben, Geld zu verdienen und bei ihren Familien zu bleiben, anstatt in die Slums von Montevideo ziehen zu müssen. Die Manos-Zentrale liefert ihnen das Rohmaterial zum Färben direkt nach Hause. Gefärbt wird immer nur auf Vorbestellung, so dass auch das finanzielle Risiko für das Unternehmen überschaubar bleibt und das Einkommen für die Frauen gesichert ist. Für die Frauen ist es nicht nur wichtig, Geld vor Ort zu verdienen, sondern auch, über den Kontakt zu anderen Färberinnen soziale Kontakte zu bekommen und nicht zuletzt ihr Selbstbewusstsein zu stärken. Für unsere Strickerinnen bedeutet diese Arbeitsweise, dass Farben, die gerade nicht am Lager sind, eine sehr lange Lieferzeit haben. Deshalb empfehlen wir unbedingt, solange noch Lagerbestände vorrätig sind, "zuzuschlagen", bevor es wieder ausverkauft ist.
